CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION
INTERACTIVE MULTIMEDIA DESIGN
1.0  Introduction

What Is Interactive Media? Interactive media is a method of communication in which the program's outputs depend on the user's inputs, and the user's inputs, in turn, affect the program's outputs. Simply put, it refers to the different ways in which people process and share information, or how they communicate with one another. In this interactive multimedia design, I created a video, that is, a video resume with the concept of "clean and simple". With this concept, I created a very simple video with a vector graphic to add to it, and also interesting music and so on. Also, I do video editing like video clips. The theme of the video clip I made was "fashion". With that theme I took a friend to model my video clip. This allows me to create videos with interesting music backgrounds, appropriate fonts and interesting transitions.

1.1 Research Background

Elements of Interactive Media

Unlike traditional media, interactive media is meant to enhance a user's experience. In order to do so, an interactive medium will require one more of the following elements:
1)    Moving images and graphics
2)    Animation
3)    Digital Text
4)    Video
5)    Audio

Key Takeaways

Ø Interactive media refers to the different ways in which people process and share information.

Ø Interactive media is meant to engage the user and interact with him or her in a way non-interactive media do not.

Ø Examples of interactive media include social media, video games and apps.

Examples of Interactive Media

Social networking websites such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are examples of interactive media. These sites use graphics and text to allow users to share photos and information about themselves, chat and play games.

Video games are another type of interactive media. Players use controllers to respond to visual and sound cues on the screen that are generated by a computer program.

1.2     Problem Statements

Ø The problem with the statement I was dealing with was the concept.

Ø Weaknesses in finding the right concept and the appropriate theme.

1.3     Research Questions

1) What is motion graphic in your understanding?

2) Who is your target audience?

3) How long did you make this motion graphic?

1.4     Objectives

Ø To convey powerful information to people using effective motion graphics without face to face.

1.5     Scope

Ø Company

Ø Internship

Ø Lecturer

Ø Public

1.6     Limitations

Ø In English language.

1.7     Delimitations

Ø Easy language for people to understand in english.

1.8     Significance of Study

Ø According to my research, nowadays, people enjoy watching videos through Youtube. In addition, the importance of our design must be their focus.

CHAPTER 2: LITERATURE REVIEW

2.0

ØInteractive multimedia design refers to shipping, storage, presentation and so on. Interactive multimedia design is more to moving images and graphics, animation, digital text, video and audio. This subject can improve my skill design and my creativity. For this subject I learn more how to design, how to do the video and so on. This is very important for one day to design for company or clien and for future too. For design, we must to confident level and must creative and must good idea so that people are interested or interested in the design we do.

CHAPTER 3: RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

3.0     ADDIE Method

Ø In the ADDIE model, analysis is the input for the system; design, development, and evaluation are the process; and implementation is the output. These elements overlap somewhat, depending on the project, and because the system is dynamic, there will be some sharing of duties.

3.1     Project Management Timeline

Ø Project management timeline is about what project I will do. In this project I must research and do something about interactive multimedia design. Interactive multimedia design must have analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation.

Figure 1: Project Timeline

Analysis

Analysis is the data-gathering element of instructional design. Here instructional designers assemble all the information they can possibly gather about the project before they consider anything else. Decisions about every aspect of the project must eventually be made.

Design

Design is the blueprinting stage of instructional systems during which instructional designers create the blueprint for a project with all the specifications necessary to complete the project. During this stage, instructional designers write the objectives, construct course content, and complete the design plan.

Development
Materials production and pilot testing are the hallmarks of development. At this stage, most nondesigners begin to see progress. Everything from lecture notes to virtual reality is brought from design to deliverable. Before instructional designers move from development to implementation, it is wise for them to do pilot testing to ensure that deliverables do not have to be redeveloped.

Implementation
The most familiar of the elements is implementation. At implementation, the design plan meets the learner, and the content is delivered. The evaluation process that most designers and learners are familiar with takes place in this element. Evaluation is used to gauge the degree to which learners meet objectives and facilitators or technologies deliver the project.

Evaluation
Evaluation doesn’t deserve to be listed last in the ADDIE model because it takes place in every element and surrounds the instructional design process. Evaluation is a constant guard at the gate of failure.

CHAPTER 4: DESIGN PROCESS

Ø Interaction design is a process in which designers focus on creating engaging web interfaces with logical and thought out behaviors and actions. Successful interactive design uses technology and principles of good communication to create desired user experiences.

4.0     Research

The research I took was from youtube that I wanted in reference to my graphic motion resume. In the youtube reference, I took a few ideas and combined them into one and also added some of my own ideas to make it look more interesting. Also, I came up with some ideas like vector colors that attract clean, easy to read and easy to remember the fonts.

Visual Research

Ø In this visual investigation I had to find a resume of graphical motion that I wanted to use as a reference. In this research, I have to search or research this person's youtube such as searching for the purpose of the resume, selected concept, character, effect, technique, color, fonts, vector used and so on. I have to come up with as many ideas as possible to complete the research on the paper.

4.1    Conceptualization

Ø  This is my moodboard concept. My concept moodboard is clean & simple. I made this concept about my resume motion graphic. The color that I choose is red and white because it is simple and easy to remember. The font that I choose is Poplar Std because this fonts is simple, clear, can read, easy to understand and remember. For this concept I use vector like water drop, circle and wave in my design motion graphic so that it looks more interesting with a lot of movement. In addition, I also included songs that were interesting and in keeping with the concept I chose. I make resume motion graphic is for the company and also looking for a job someday and also for the future.

4.2     Storyboard

Ø This is my storyboard for video resume motion graphic. This storyboard I draw scene by scene to do the video resume motion graphic. For the storyboard I draw only 6 scene.

First, I started the video with greeting which is to say 'Hello' and use some vectors and circle for it to rotate. Second, I put my name down to introduce myself. Third, I put down a laptop and a few sentences to tell me I was a graphic design student and use some vector for it to look interesting. Fourth, I used female cartoons with her laptop and some apps namely Ps, Ai, Ae, Id and Pr to show off the skills I used in the cost of graphic design and also put some wave vectors to look more attractive. Fifth, I used female cartoons with laptops and also put names of skills to show off my skills in graphic design and also put a few drops of water on every design skill name, not to mention some vector waves to make it look even more interesting. Lastly, I put contacts like email, whatsapp, facebook and instagram for people to reach out to if they need me to do the graphic design as I showed in the previous scene.

Figure 4: Storyboard

4.3     Design Development

Ø  Design development is a design I created on after effect is to edit a graphic motion video resume. There, I learned a lot of good and interesting editing on existing applications as well as my own ideas. After effects can also make videos as good as moving and can put audio, position, scale, color, font and so on. So I can edit as much as I want. The idea of graphic motion that I take is in ‘freepiks’. Freepiks is a really easy application for me to do well without wasting time.

CHAPTER 5: FINAL PROTOTYPE

5.0     Final

Ø This is my final project in video motion graphic. This project I created a video, the application I used to create this video is after effects and when I finished making my graphic motion resume I posted it on youtube for people to watch it, if you want to see it click on the link below.

Business Card

Ø  This is my business card for for people to know the information on the card. The card I designed is about my work, if you want to know it you can scan the code. The card I designed with my own style was as simple and interesting as my color choice, according to the color of the graphic motion video I designed. The colors I use are just 2 color choices, red and white, according to the simple concept that I choose to attract customers and also that option is easy to remember.

Figure 5: Business Card

CHAPTER 6: CONCLUSION & RECOMMENDATION

5.0     Conclusion

Ø In conclusion, in this project I learned new things like making a resume and also a video clip, in this project I also weakly edited the effects of movement according to the video clip and I learned many things and I was able to handle it well with the help of my friends who gave me good instruction, and in the future I hope I can do well.

        6.1     Recommendation

Ø I recommend what I want to improve my project for further used by doing more than others and fighting against other companies. What really matters is how fast I progress and what steps I take every day to improve my design skills. Learn to identify good design If I want to create great designs.

First, I need to learn to recognize a good design from a bad one. It usually comes with experience. The more experienced of a designer, the faster I can perceive a better design. Second, study design theory. Everything moves so fast and if I want to be in the game, I need to know my stuff from the source. Read about new design techniques or trends. Study the design theory to find a sense in what I doing. Lastly, Improve my style. Sometimes a designer is like an actor and has to play different roles depending on the project that he or she is working on. However, it’s good to settle around a specific group of clients that we feel confident with and that fits with my design style.
