Introduction:
This module introduces the fundamentals of 2D animation process Students will learn how to create a simple animation movement using twelve principles animation' This module also covers the tools and techniques of using manual and digital 2D animation.
TASK 1- 12 Principles Of Animation And Camera Angles & Shot
The 12 Principles Of Animation are the most techniques I must master as an animator. Created by the pioneers, Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston and first introduced in The Illusion of life: Disney Animation, these 12 principles should be my ultimate guide for creating appealing and realistic character animations.
12 Principles Of Animation:
1. Skuash And Stretch
2. Anticipation
3. Staging
4. Straight Ahead And Pose To Pose Animation
5. Follow Through And Overlapping Action
6. Slow-Out And Slow-In
7. Arcs
8. Secondary Action
9. Timing
10. Exaggeration
11. Solid Drawing
12. Appeal
I’m from group 1, and we are given 1-6 principles from 12 principles:
Ø Skuash And Stretch
Ø Anticipation
Ø Staging
Ø Straight Ahead And Pose To Pose Animation
Ø Follow Through And Overlapping Action
Ø Slow-Out And Slow-In
1. SQUASH AND STRETCH
This is our short animation. Usually it is wider in the style of the picture. It is used in all forms of character animation from jumping over the big rock and jumping down, it's also like something bouncing. This is the most important element that should be used to create animations. Want to know? View the video below by pressing the link!
2. ANTICIPATION
This is our short animation. This movement to provide the primary action the audience will perform such acts, begin to run, jump or exchange expressions with short animations. In this video we do a man's act of slapping a woman, with this action the man must do the act by slapping the face of a woman and the woman should give excessive action with the face and body style. This animation also fits the character's existing personality with face and style actions. Want to know? View the video below by pressing the link!
3. STAGING
This is our short animation. A pose or action should clearly communicate to the audience the attitude, mood, reaction or idea of the character as it relates to the story and continuity of the story line. We use a clear action to get an idea of the water bottle on the grass to attract the audience. Before taking action we set the action, time, position of the camera and also the place suitable for making the animation. We used a water bottle and a man walked forward and fell for not seeing the water bottle in the underground and a woman laughed at the man. Background and animation should wark together as pictorial unit in a scene. Want to know? View the video below by pressing the link!
4. STRAIGHT AHEAD AND POSE TO POSE ANIMATION
This is our short animation. Quick and wild scenes are done this way Pose to Pose is more planned and recorded with events. These short animations are made like walking pose and create stunts and styles like models. Want to know? View the video below by pressing the link!
5. FOLLOW THROUGH AND OVERLAPPING ACTION
This is our short animation. When the main body of the character stops all other parts continue to pursue the main mass of the character such as long hair long dress shirt or fur dressing or long tail (this follows the action path).
Like our short animations, the path of action is to throw shoes to a distant corner called the movement of a hand. Want to know? View the video below by pressing the link!
6. SLOW-OUT AND SLOW-IN
This is our short animation. When the action begins, we have more paintings near starters, one or two in the middle and more drawings near render a few drawings make quicker action and more drawings make slower action Slowly and slowly softens the action. This action is like slow motion as we did in this animation with the flowers being bounced forward and it moves like a bounce up and down.Want to know? View the video below by pressing the link!
Camera Angels movements and Shot is combine to create a sequence of image, just as words, word order and punctuation combine to make the meaning of a sentence.

Task 2 - Flip Book And Bouncing Ball - 5%
A flip book is a collection of combined pictures intended to be flipped over to give the
illusion of movement and create an animated sequence from a simple small book without
machine.

Task 3: Traditional Animation (Rotoscoping) - 20%
Rotoscoping is an animation technique that animators use to trace over motion picture
footage, frame by frame, to produce realistic action. Originally, animators projected
photographed live-action movie images onto a glass panel and traced over the image.

This is my training in the classroom. You can see in my youtube and click the link!
Task 5 - Digital Animation (Kinetic) - 20%
Exercise In Class - Kinetic Typography
Before I start my final, I did some exercises namely Kinetic Typography. This is the Pantun Friendship. I can learn how to make the writing in various movements. If you want to see, you can see my videos in youtube and press the link below!
Final Project & Presentation - 40%
Pre-Production
Pre-production is the phase of further developing ideas and planning prior to the process of
production. In a live action movie sense it is the period before filming starts. In an animation
sense it is the period before any real animating takes place. Basic pre-production starts
with an idea/concept, storyline, script, storyboard, character design, layout and
experimenting animation technique.
Instructions:
For this task, students are required to do an idea/concept, storyline, script, storyboard, character design and experiment on a few 2D animation techniques.
